First International WCF Cat Show for the YEAR 2010
The Phoenicia Hotel played host to the 17th and 18th Cat Show on the 24th of
January. The show was organized by the Malta Feline Guardians Club, MFGC.
This was the first show that the club presented for 2010 and was set to coincide
with the fifth year from the foundation of the club.
All the cats on show made a very favorable impression on the judges as did the
entire show. The judges commented on the standards of excellence set by the
show and were most pleased to be participating in an exhibition of great merit on
a small island, as is Malta. The club also expresses its gratitude to Mr. Filippo
Bertagnolio, a Professional steward from Italy, invited by the club to this event.
The judging took place twice during the show. During the first part of the show
the title of General Best Cat was won by Ch. SuryamaineCoon Oty, owned by Ms
Rodianne Caligari while HuntersRidge Moon Dance, a Bengal cat owned by Mr.
Austin Psaila claimed the title of General Best cat during the second part of the
Show.
The Super General Best Cat was then chosen between these two magnificent
felines and the judges awarded this title to HuntersRidge Moon Dance. Whilst
HuntersRidge Hot Lava, also owned by Mr. Austin Psaila was awarded the titles
of Best in Show and General Best in Show in his category.
